Fighting GPU noise

What happens when you buy a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) that just has a fan that’s too loud and can’t be controlled? That’s the case with the BFG GeForce 8400 GS. In an effort to reduce the amount of noise while still remaining on budget, we padded the thing from every possible point while still ensuring it had room for air flow. The result? See for yourself.

On the right you can see the front flap (and yes, the padding is screwed into the case). The card’s only source of air is now the back of the computer (through the open slot) and the space between the hard drives. Of course if you really wanted to silence the GPU fan extremely you could just buy another fan and replace it with the standard thing.

I don’t get it? Maybe get a bigger picture. I can’t tell what you’re pointing out.
