How to create an ad hoc network

I’ve seen this asked in a couple of places so here it is. Firstly let’s go over what an ad hoc network is. And ad hoc network is a wireless connection between 2 or more computers without a router. It’s nice if you need to connect 2 laptops for file sharing or something when you don’t have access to a router or when you want to make a wired internet conection wireless. So how do you create it? In Windows Vista and Windows 7 just go to the Networking and Sharing Center and on the left site (tasks) click Set up a connection or network. Then select Set up a wireless ad hoc and the wizard will guide you through the rest. Any questions can be addressed in the forum.
